The track then made a notable turn. From September 26, the typhoon’s longitude began shifting eastward from 138.8°E to 139°E, marking the start of its turn toward the northeast. After September 27, the system turned decisively northward and then northeastward, with its latitude rising rapidly from 22.1°N to 42°N in the high latitudes. Throughout its lifetime, the typhoon did not make landfall and remained over the open ocean before weakening and dissipating near 175.5°E on October 2.
